1. Countries that can enter Qatar without a visa

Citizens of the following countries do not need a visa to enter Qatar for up to 90 days within a 180-day period:
  • Member states of the European Union (except Ireland)
  • Antigua and Barbuda—Argentina—Armenia

Conditional exemption from Qatar visa

Citizens of India can enter Qatar without a visa for 30 days if they show:
  • A passport with another validity of at least 6 months.
  • Confirmed return ticket.
  • Confirmed hotel reservation.
Citizens of Pakistan can enter Qatar without a visa for up to 30 days (non-extendable) if they show the following:
  • A passport with another validity of at least 6 months.
  • Confirmed return ticket.

3. Electronic travel permit for the state of Qatar

You can get an electronic travel permit for the state of Qatar before traveling if you have a valid tourist visa or a residence permit issued by one of the following countries:

  • Biographical information page of your passport (name and photo)
  • A recent passport-sized photo of you
  • Confirmed your flight ticket.
  • Proof of accommodation in Qatar, such as your hotel reservation.

If you are staying with a relative/friend in Qatar:
  • Letter of authorization from them
  • Qatari ID card and residence visa
  • A copy of the resume page of their passport
  • A copy of their lease agreement document

If you are staying with a friend/relative of a Qatari citizen: 
  • a copy of his Qatari ID card

Requirements for residents of the GCC countries:

  • Residence visa for the GCC country
  • The identity card of the Gulf Cooperation Council

Any additional documents related to your travel purpose, such as:
  • Previous visas issued by Qatar, Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada.
  • A document showing that you have invested at least 8,000 dollars in Qatar
  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage certificate
Your Qatar visa is processed by the Qatari Ministry of Interior. If the immigration officers responsible for handling your application think it is necessary for you to submit additional documents, they will let you know about it.

Check that all electronic copies of your documents are scanned in color and that they are clear and perfectly legible.

5. How to apply for a Qatar visa online for tourism

Anyone who is not eligible for a visa on arrival or visa-free entry can apply for a Qatar visa online, before traveling. You can apply for a Qatar visa through the website or Qatar Airways website (for passengers traveling with the airline).


To apply for a Qatar visa online, you must:
  • Complete the online application form and attach all supporting documents.
  • Pay the visa fee through your debit/credit card (visa or Mastercard). 
  • The online Qatar visa fee is QAR 100. 27 US dollars.
  • You will receive the results of your visa application in your email. Print it and bring it with you to Qatar.
Notes: 
Citizens of Egypt, Israel, Kosovo, and Palestine are not eligible to apply for a Qatar visa online. They should contact the nearest Qatari embassy or consulate to find out how to proceed with the visa application.

6. Applying for a Qatar transit visa

If you are going to pass through Qatar on your way to a third destination and have a stopover longer than five hours, you can apply for a Qatar transit visa. A Qatari transit visa is issued free of charge, you can use it to enter and stay in Qatar for up to four days (96 hours).

You are applying for a Qatar transit visa online, in the same way as for a tourist visa. You will receive the visa via e-mail.

Qatar transit visa cannot be extended beyond 4 days! If you want to stay longer than 4 days, you can apply for a regular tourist visa.

To apply, you must provide a scanned copy of your passport, a travel ticket, and a visa to the third destination country (if a permit is required). Both your domestic and outbound flights must be operated by Qatar Airways.

7. How long does it take to get a Qatar visa

If all the documents are in order, and there are no problems with your application, most visa applications for Qatar will be processed within 4 working days.

8. How much is the Qatar visa fee

The tourist visa fee for the state of Qatar is Qar 100 (applications. 27 US dollars). If there are people accompanying you, such as dependent family members, there is a fee of QAR 50 (apex). US 1 13) for each of them.

9. How long is the Qatar visa

  • Pay the corresponding fee. For a 30-day visa extension, the fee is QAR 200.

Extension of visa-free stay in Qatar

If you are from one country that is allowed to enter Qatar without a visa for up to 30 days, you can extend your stay for another 30 days. You can apply for an extension at the Immigration Office of the Ministry of the interior of Qatar at Hamad International Airport or any of the Ministry of Interior service centers throughout the country.

If you are from one country that is allowed to stay in Qatar without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, you cannot extend your stay.

Exceeding the allowed period means that you have to pay a fee before departure (Qar 200 per day, which is approximately USD 54 per day).
