A total of eight stadiums have been prepared in an effort to gather more than 1.2 million fans from the 32 teams that will participate in the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup, for the first time ever hosted by a Middle Eastern country, while this is the second time that the FIFA World Cup has been hosted in Asia reports.
Lusail Stadium, in addition to Al Bayt, al Janub, Ahmed bin Ali, Khalifa International, Education City, Stadium 974, and Al Thumama Stadium, which are located in different cities of Qatar, will officially host this year's World Cup.
Recently, FIFA announced that a total of 2.45 million tickets have been sold to this moment.

What is the Hayya Card Qatar 2022?
In order to become part of this year's World Cup, domestic and international fans have to apply for a Hayya Card.
The digital Hayya Card, known as FAN ID, is a document issued by the Qatar Football World Cup, and all persons must carry this card with their match ticket to be allowed to enter the stadium.
The card can be available immediately after approval through the Hayya application; however, it has been clarified that the Hayya card is operated by the government of Qatar, while FIFA is not responsible for the application, issuance, and/ or use of this card.
Do international fans need a visa to enter Qatar for the World Cup 2022?
Citizens from other countries planning to travel to Qatar to attend the FIFA World Cup, will not need a visa, as long as they have a valid Hayya Card.
That is, this card will serve as an entry permit to this country, and standard visas for Qatar will not be issued this time when obtaining a certified Hayya Card and tickets for World Cup matches.
The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that the country will resume visitor visas from December 23. In addition, visitors to this country will be blocked by air, land, and sea borders starting from November 1 until December 22.
Brigadier Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah, director of the public relations department and head of the media unit of the security and safety committee at the World Cup, and Brigadier Jassim al Sayed, executive director of the Office of the commander of security operations at the tournament, confirmed that this decision was confirmed during a press conference.
- However, the ministry clarified that holders of valid Hayya Cards are exempt from this requirement, which means that they can enter the country during the above period.
- In addition, they are allowed to stay in this country until January 23, 2023.
The United Arab Emirates has announced a multi-entry tourist visa for Hayya cardholders attending the FIFA World Cup, allowing them to enter the UAE several times for 90 days.
The Qatari authorities have said that all Hayya cardholders who do not leave the country after January 23, 2023, will be subject to legal proceedings in accordance with the country's rules. In addition, the authorities in Qatar also revealed that a Hayya Card can be used for many entrances and exits.
It has been clarified that holders of personal employment visas as well as work entry permits are also eligible to enter Qatar during the World Cup. Humanitarian cases, patients, marriages, and other incidents will also be handled via an electronic platform that will be launched soon. An entry exemption will also be granted after approval through this platform.
Opening of two new Hayya card centers before the start of the World Cup 2022
Hayya Card holders can apply for a multi-entry tourist visa through the website, www.icp.gov.ae, by selecting" smart channels “and then selecting” public services", followed by selecting” Hayya Card holders" visa, completing the data and documents, and also pay the applicable fees.
The authorities in Qatar have announced that fans will also be eligible for a physical copy of this card in addition to its availability in the mobile application.
“Now that you have applied for your digital Hayya Card, whether approved or pending, you have the option to also get a physical Hayya Card (optional). The physical card will provide you with the same services as the digital card. If you choose to opt for a physical Hayya Card, you can have it shipped to your address,” the statement noted.
The organizers stressed that in order to facilitate the access of fans applying for ID cards, two new Hayya Card centers were opened before the start of the tournament.
Saeed Ali Al Kuwari, executive director of the life platform at the Supreme Committee for delivery and legacy, confirmed that the new centers will be located at Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah square (Abha arena), as well as the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in West Bay.
“Fans (who have completed the required procedures such as match tickets and Hayya card) will start receiving visas in their emails starting from October 1,” Al Kuwari pointed out in this regard.

Are GCC nationals (Country Citizens) excluded from the mandatory Qatar Hayya Card requirements?
No! All persons from the countries of the world are obliged to have a Hayya Card, including GCC citizens.

More than 260,000 Hayya cards have been issued
Previously, the authorities in Qatar announced that more than 260,000 Live tickets were issued to fans before the Qatar Football World Cup. This information was confirmed by Saeed Al Kuwari, executive director of the Hayya platform at the Supreme Committee for delivery and legacy.
He stressed that issuing a Hayya card is a sovereign right of the state of Qatar, which is in line with the country's security strategy for the championship.

The executive director of the Supreme Committee for delivery and legacy's Live platform said that more than 1.7 million international football fans are expected to participate in the 2022 World Cup.
"After the first 12 days of the tournament, the entry procedures will be reviewed in line with the current situation at that time. The first Arab world cup of its kind is expected to bring more than 1.7 million people to Qatar in those months," he added.
