Third: obtaining residency

  • Be a resident of Turkey for at least five years, with a residence rate of no more than 6 months abroad. This period is reduced to 3 years if you are married to a Turkish, or if you were born in Turkey.

  • Do not have a criminal record. 
  • Ability to speak Turkish. 
  • Provide evidence of having the material ability to live in Turkey. 

Documents required to apply for Turkish citizenship
